Top-Down fitting is the most intuitive for users: the chain is fitted from the top, downwards
Forget the classic chain fitting. The König Reflex Edge arrives fully assembled, all you have to do is extend it, fit it on the wheel and activate the automatic tensioning.
Once the red slider is activated, the chain is automatically tensioned at the first movement of the wheel, allowing one-stop assembly by the user.
The Reflex Tensioning Box is the heart of the revolution. It is in fact the first tensioning device to be fully integrated into the chain from the initial design stages. Inside the Reflex Tensioning Box we find a spiral spring, with increased load, which effectively tension both the outer and the inner side of the chain. Tensioning precision is ensured by an internal micro-adjustment ring that allows the tensioning to be adapted to the tyre conformation.
All chain elements located in sensitive areas of the wheel arch have been designed for minimum space requirements.
Thanks to the Reflex Tensioning Box and its integration into the chain itself, the chain is tensioned in all its parts, both on the outer and inner side, keeping it super-adherent to the tyre profile.
To disassemble the chain, simply unlock the tensioning by means of the red slider and pull the chain off, starting with the outer side and then proceeding to the outer side.
Protection of the rims from classic chain scratches is guaranteed by the Wheel-Shield Level 1 system, which has evolved on the Reflex Cross. The side chains are replaced by a polyethylene extrusion and all metal elements are covered with specific solutions.
A practical bag, made of more than 90% recycled plastic, with integrated kit pocket, allows the chain to be stored when not in use.
